Planet Jackers
Episode: 7A, Original Air Date: 8/31/2001
Planet Jackers

This episode begins innocently enough with Zim using his telescope to spy on the other Irken Invaders - who he's horrified to find are all conquering their planets more successfully than he is. When the telescope gets blocked Zim is forced to seek an alternative telescope to use…Dib's. Eventually Zim learns that the Earth has in fact been stolen by the Planet Jackers and that he will have to defeat or trick them to save the Earth so that he can later destroy it.

Zim takes quite a bit of physical punishment in this episode. It's easy to see how the Irkens are able to conquer planets - they have the Pak which is phenomenally useful and they are pretty tough - Zim loses an eye when the Voot Cruiser smashes into the Planet Jacker sphere, he has his spider legs ripped off, he's shot off into space where he eventually smashes full-speed into the window of the cruiser and finally he's pummeled by a huge alien. Overall though I have to say that Skoodge might have had a rougher day when he was shot into Blortch from the Massive's cannon.

My Favorite Moments:

The single line 'We've saved the Earth, GIR. Now let's go destroy it!" has to be one of the funniest lines ever written and delivered in a cartoon.

As long as you are a firm (dis?) believer in cartoon physics you'll enjoy this episode.
